  This is a very sturdy Hearth gate, we have it around our stove, so I wanted it to open enough to put logs into the stove, but not close enough to let a toddler reach through and get burned. It has passed both tests.It is a little tricky to understand the instructions but,study the pictures, yes it's that kind..... make sure you have them all facing the correct way, up or down, the gate will give you a clue, which is probably a good piece to start with. as it has to be positioned correctly. I would recommend at least two people to fit it together or a lot more if they don't read or even look at the pictures, yep, I am speaking from experience, but having said that we got there.

  Good product, worth the money

  Very pleased with this purchase. We have a multi-fuel fire which sits away from the wall and was not suitable for most standard fireguards, but this works very well. The XL is just the right side to put a safe circumference around the whole thing protecting out ever reaching little one from the heat. Material is of good quality and delivery was fast. Comes with plastic wall fittings which seem good enough. Due to renting I did not want to damage walls though and have simply stuck it in place using the Command picture hanging strips! Little one has been hanging of the guard and no movement has occurred so frame is pretty sturdy.

  Really great gate and perfect to use on a larger gap. It says in instructions that you should curve the gate however we have it straight on a large gap between 2 rooms and it works perfectly! Highly recommend! We use it to keep dogs away from sons playing area!

  Excellent product- looks stylish and is sturdy enough to withstand my 8 month old climbing on it. Easy to assemble and attach to wall.

  This gate is well designed and fits our Georgian staircase very well. Easy to get through quickly before the toddler follows!

  Simple design, good build quality

  I set aside some time to digest the usual gobbledigook of instructions and fiddly parts but I was pleasingly surprised. It was a doddle to put together. Total build and fit time was about 15 minutes.

  Not just a baby gate

  Bought this to block off part of our kitchen for our puppy. Much better than the cage. Giving him ample room to get about and easy access to and from this area. Very sturdy and looks good too

  Purchased the safety gate and very happy with it. Perfect fit, easy to assemble and as already tested by the baby it's a strong product

  Excellent gate. Used it with some extra gate sections to wall off a large section of room. Easy to assemble, very solid, well made, and also has a quick release if you need to take it down temporarily. It also looks good, which is important if you're leaving it up for a few years!
